Welcome to Kates losing it !
My very own Blog !... yes me !?... with a Blog... who would have thought that!?!?
Here’s a little bit about myself !
I’m 48 years old and I’m 5ft 9” tall.
My weight loss journey started in May 2019, where my starting weight was nearly 23 stone.
I realised along the way that it wasn’t just about the scales but it was my mindset , health & happiness too .. so I had to start taking care of my mind aswell as my body …
I achieved the milestone of losing 100lb in just over 7.5 months which is an achievement I am very pleased and proud of.
I achieved my target goal of losing 10 stone , in just over a year ,which I felt would be very hard to achieve , & Words just cannot describe how happy I was to have made that target goal and have also managed to fit into size 12 clothes.
My journey was in the daily mail & magazines (absolutely sereal!!) and I also won slimmer of the year with the meal replacement company I used ( Exante )
I maintained for 3 years , but then I lost my way through grieving & gained a couple of stone , which I am currently working on .
Right now I’m feeling great , although I am menopausal & have a couple of stone to lose that I gained last year (that’s one of the curveballs of life I suppose )I’m determined to carry on my blog as honestly as I can !!!
How I put that weight on ….
After a terrible accident, I had slowly started to put on the weight, I had been diagnosed with PTSD along with problems with my back.
Originally I thought I was coping in general and that I was ok, but I didn’t realise how much made an impact on me in terms of significant weight gain.
I started out by losing weight with Exante ( a meal replacement) and then on to healthy recipes and calorie counting. Which I share weekly . Im now starting to find myself again, day to day I’m getting more confident, much happier which has given me a new lease of life.
During my journey my aches and pains have had a significant reduction, I’m not having to take pain tablets for my back every 4 hours !!! So feeling more alive day by day which now at 48, in my opinion is better late than never !! Lol
So losing weight has seriously changed my life, in more ways than one !!
So this page is to keep myself on track, and in the zone ... I have the determination to get back to my target weight and then maintain!!! ..... and hopefully who knows, maybe we can all motivate each other !

You never fail unless you give up !...
Why I set this Blog up...
I decided to set this blog up to try and share helpful information about my journey to other folk who are starting out on their weight loss.
I was getting a lot of messages asking about different things, so I thought id try and help put as much information as I could in one place.
The blog will probably evolve along the way as this is a work in progress as am I!
Hopefully I will post some stuff that may help someone on their journey too.
