Cauliflower “pizza Steaks”


I’m a bit AWOL at the moment on here , as I’m having a few days holiday but I thought I’d check in &

As it’s Friday I thought I’d share this ….


I cooked a few things with the leftovers in my fridge , to save waste & pennies the other day …

And this was one of them …


I used …

1x head cauliflower , cut into 1/2-inch steaks ( I got 2 & saved the rest for a roasted cauliflower soup which I’ll show later … )

Drizzle of olive oil

Salt & pepper

tomato sauce

shredded cheese

sliced pepperoni (or toppings of choice)


Preheat the oven to 200c Without removing the green leaves, slice the cauliflower into 1/2-inch thick slices around the stem. Only the part near the stem will become "steaks." Reserve the rest of the cauliflower florets for another use.

Lay the cauliflower steaks on the pan and drizzle with olive oil and seasoning and roast both sides

When the thickest part of the cauliflower is slightly soft add your pizza toppings to each slice & cook just until the toppings are hot and bubbly.
